Newborn Photographer Western Sydney
Your baby is only this tiny for a few short weeks. Laura is an award-winning newborn photographer based in Ingleburn, in Sydney’s south west, and she has spent over 20 years photographing new families. Western Sydney parents can visit the natural light studio in Ingleburn or have Laura come to them at home, and she has photographed newborns for families in Prestons, Carnes Hill, Middleton Grange, Fairfield and Erskine Park.
Sessions are relaxed and unhurried, with no stiff posing. The focus is on you and your baby and the tiny details you’ll want to remember: curled-up toes, scrunchy-nosed yawns and the size of their hand in yours.
What Your Newborn Session Includes
A newborn session is $880 and runs for 1 to 2 hours, in the studio or in your own home. It includes:
- 10 edited images of your choice, in colour and black and white, in high and low resolution
- A welcome guide and a session preparation guide
- Use of our gowns and props
- A private online gallery to choose your favourites
- A $100 print credit towards your final order
Every booked newborn session also comes with a complimentary 30-minute studio maternity session (the digital images from it aren’t included). Studio, Home or Outdoors Across Western Sydney
Western Sydney families can choose from three settings:
- The studio: our bright, natural light studio in Ingleburn is set up with all the creature comforts for you and your baby.
- At home: if you’d rather stay in familiar surroundings, Laura comes to you. You don’t need a big house. All she needs is a room with a window, and a wide-angle lens makes smaller rooms look spacious. Homes more than 25km from Ingleburn incur an additional travel fee.
- Outdoors: sessions start about an hour before sunset for soft golden light, on weekdays with limited Saturday evenings.
Studio and in-home sessions start at 10am on weekday mornings. That leaves plenty of daylight, and for home sessions it gives us time to find the best-lit spots and have a coffee together before we begin.

When to Book Your Newborn Session
You can schedule your newborn session for whichever stage you’d like to capture:
- Under 2 weeks: sleepy, curled-up images
- 3 to 8 weeks: more alert and awake
- 9 weeks and over: more expressive, sometimes with little smiles
Only 3 to 5% of babies arrive on their due date, so Laura takes a limited number of newborn bookings each month to keep things flexible. Book during your pregnancy, then let us know as soon as your baby arrives so we can schedule your session within those first 2 weeks. If anyone is unwell, we simply reschedule.
