I want you to imagine for a moment that you can picture the happiest couple in the world… go ahead, close your eyes and picture them in your mind. Beaming faces, loads of happy tears, constant embraces, loads of laughter, genuine connection… now open your eyes, scroll down the page a little and let me introduce you to Daniel and Courtney!

These 2 did not have the easiest start to their wedding planning, finding out that their first wedding venue had to cancel their reservation and that their original photographer did a runner after being paid in full! Despite the rocky start, their gorgeous wedding day went off without a hitch!

We started with the prep photos, including all the tiny details you never want to forget. They had organised a “first touch” which involved Daniel being blindfolded and they held hands in the shade of a beautiful tree while exchanging a gift and letter they had written each other. There were tears from all present as Daniel opened his gift to reveal a lovely broach containing the images of his dearly missed late grandparents. Leaving Daniel to make his way to the ceremony, we headed back to the room to see Courtney’s dad for his first glimpse of his little girl. He barely made it through the door before bursting into tears and crumbling into her arms.

Getting married on the lush green grounds of the incredible Gledswood Estate in South West Sydney, they had nothing but love surrounding them with an intimate gathering of their families and friends. This too was a beautiful mix of emotions. Tears going hand in hand with laughter! Once they had sealed the deal with a kiss, they mingled with family and friends before stealing away to explore the breathtaking layout of the grounds. With plenty of golden afternoon light, Craig from Puzzleman Productions and I gave them prompts and word games to play, encouraging them to relax in front of the camera and connect naturally, something these 2 definitely DID NOT struggle with. Their connection is dynamic!!

With the reception party in full swing, we managed to find time to make our way into the night for some flash photography fun, creating a scene fit for a Disney movie!! Returning to the party in time for dancing, hysterical speeches, my favourite “The Shoe Game”, and some of the best wedding cake I’ve ever had (believe me, I’ve tried my fair share) we partied into the night, wrapping things up with a magical sparkler exit!

Congratulations to the adorable Mr. and Mrs. Micallef and thank you both so much for sharing your special day with us!! xx
