There’s something pretty special about photographing a family for the third time. You arrive already knowing their rhythms, their quirks, their inside jokes… and then you get to see just how much the kids have grown since last time. The Mignemi family is one of those beautiful reminders of why I adore this job – three gorgeous kiddos who seem to sprout taller, cheekier, and more full of personality every year.
From the moment we met at Cronulla beach, their warm, caring bond was on full display. The kind of closeness you can’t pose or direct – it just spills out naturally. The kids tumbled between cuddles and chaos, the parents laughed their way through sandy hugs, and the whole afternoon felt like watching a family who genuinely loves being together.
And honestly… Cronulla really turned it on for us. The light was soft and golden, the breeze was gentle, and the dunes were glowing like they’d been dusted with warm honey. By the time the sun dipped behind them, we were wrapped in one of those sunsets that makes you stop mid‑sentence just to take it in.
The Mignemis brought their usual fun, playful energy — racing along the dunes, climbing over each other in giggly piles, and sharing those quiet in‑between moments that say more about a family than any perfectly posed photo ever could. Watching their kids change over the years, while their connection stays just as strong, is honestly one of the greatest privileges of this work.
I left the beach sandy, smiling, and already excited for the next time we meet for another funfilled family session.
