This luxury wedding was next level!
Sebastian and Dana are one of those “we met online” success stories. Their love grew over the last 4 years together, they became inseperable and enjoyed so many similar hobbies. Sebastian proposed in a way that is straight out of the storybooks. Dana arrived home one Friday afternoon to instructions from Sebastian to drop her bags at the front door and follow the long stem roses. Dana followed them to the living room where the fireplace was lit and a little puppy was waiting for her in a crate behind a message (written in dog kibble) saying – “Will you Marry Me?” Dana turned around to Seb who was down on one knee with the most gorgeous engagement ring. Needless to say, she replied with an enthusiastic YES!
I was lucky enough to meet Sebastian and Dana when I photographed her brother’s wedding the year before. Dana hired all of the vendors who helped her brother and his wife Tessa on their big day.
Their ceremony was held in a very special chapel. Dana attended Loreto Normanhurst for high school, so it was only fitting that their wedding ceremony be held there in the beautiful chapel. Sebastian held it together through misty eyes as he watched his stunning bride walk down the aisle with her dad. They had written the most touching wedding vows to say before the all important I DO’s!
Their bridal portraits were appropriately set in the lush gardens of Loreto Normanhurst. We took a drive out to Cremorne Point Reserve and Chinamans Beach for some location variety before making our way to Zest for their incredible wedding reception.
Kicking off into party mode, there was an amazing seafood buffet, glorious soft floral vibes, dancemoves worthy of their own TV show, and the most epic sunset over the stunning water views. The night was so balmy and inviting, we absolutely had to steal them away from the celebrations to enjoy some magical night shots and fresh sea air.
We had such a delightful time catching up with their families and friends – it’s so nice to shoot referral weddings and see familiar faces. To Sebastian and Dana, we wish you both every happiness as you set out on your journey through married life and enjoy the many blessings it will bring!
